The Indian's Nose

Would you like to learn Spanish while traveling?

San Pedro la Laguna is very well known for being one of the biggest touristic destinations for travelers who are interested in learning Spanish. There is a big amount of schools and experienced private teachers in town.

The Indian's Nose is the most popular hike in Lake Atitlan.

​

This is the highest point in the lake, which makes this the most impressive view point. If you are the type of person who enjoys a nice hike and a fantastic view this is definitely a must do for you.

There is a tour available at 3:00 am, which allows you to enjoy the sunrise. Price includes the guided tour, transportation and entrance fee.

Volcan San Pedro

Adventurous hike with different landscapes.

 

It takes about five to six hours to hike the Volcano San Pedro, is fitted for you if you enjoy nature. You'd get a few ecological tips of this mystic place.  

 

This tour includes the entrance to the ecological park, transportation and a guided tour.
 

Horseback Riding

Enjoy a horseback tour in some beautiful natural scenarios close to town!

Starting either in San Juan or San Pedro, you can chose if you'd like to take a tour around the neighborhoods and its surroundings or even go all the way to the Indian's Nose.

Cooking Lessons: Guatemalan Food

The Mayan culture is still alive in Lake Atitlan.

If you enjoy cooking and learning about different gastronomies, you'll be impressed with the variety of recipes available here in the lake.

 

The diet of locals is still very traditional, such as tamales, chuchitos,  tayuyos, patin, lemon cooked meats, tortilla based plates, arroz con leche, atol del platano and many others....

You can go from one town to another making a quick tour in different places the same day while  enjoying the view of the villages around the lake.

 

Due to the volcanic activity there is many houses and buildings that are completely underwater, this is a must see! 

Boat Tours

For all of those who enjoy water transportation, this is a 3 - 4 hour tour.

You can chose to visit either San Marco, Santa Cruz, Jaibalito and Tzununa or San Juan, San Marco, Santiago and San Pablo.

You can chose to have a guide with you at all times which would provide all the historical and mythical stories of Lake Atitlan.

Coffee Tour

Guatemala is world knows for its fantastic coffee. Learn about its maturation process and visit the museum with demonstrations of coffee roasting and packaging.

Discover the passion of flying and enjoy a birds-eye view of the lake.

​

This activity is offered in Panajachel, another town in the surroundings of Lake Atitlan. The complete activity lasts around 40 minutes. You would be assisted by a professional paraglider with over 12 years of experience.
